Top 5 Things To Do During The Christmas Break …
I wanted to share a few that just came to my mind recently. Okay, so the Christmas season is here. I am looking for possible gifts for my children, my husband, and family members. Then I thought - you know the things that they really liked - that I have found out in the past is that they love experiences. So just like my family, I was thinking maybe your family might like that as well. Because how many of us really remember that dress, or that tie, or that perfume, or that toy? Really what we remember is those time and those precious moments that we spend with our family. And now, during this season, I know we’ve probably spent more time than usual with our family members, but let’s just make it special, how’s that? For the next few days, I’m going to come up with a few ideas that you might like to enjoy with you family. You can watch here or read further.
We are here in Los Angeles, so the first one might be to visit the Los Angeles Arboretum. It’s about 120 acres filled with peacocks. Now for people who live in Palos Verdes, that’s nothing new, but it is very, very beautiful. You might need to get online reservations for the Arboretum.
The second one is to visit Hansen Dam. There’s a discovery cube there. At this time it’s closed. However, you can still enjoy the wide open spaces, bike paths, and then all the natural beauty that’s around there.
Number three: go sand sledding. Okay, so people are looking at maybe going sledding in the mountains and we’ll cover that in the future. But have you ever tried sand sledding over at Point Mugu Park? If you take PCH North and keep going. Then you’ll get to Point Mugu and you can check it out.
Number four: How about the Ventura Harbor? You can take a boat and go take a look at all the beautiful Christmas lights on the Harbor. So that would be really nice.
And Number five: How about whale watching? The Pacific grey whale is now starting to come out and be seen. There are a lot of wonderful places that offer what watching tours. There’s one called LA Waterfront Cruises in San Pedro, California. They are open on the weekends right now. It’s limited in Terms of the number of people who can get on, but there’s still plenty of room for you. So those are my top five for today. Let me know how you like them.
