Here's a quick tip for sellers. I've been selling real estate for nearly 20 years. With all these years of selling homes in California, I have almost seen it all. It starts with knowing the best way to sell your house and how to sell your house fast. There are a number of home selling tips and tricks you can use. You must also know the mistakes to avoid when selling your house. We don't live the way we sell and we don't sell the way we live. If you plan on selling a home now or in the next few months, take advantage of my experience and use this top tip for selling a home in 2022.

One of the first things that people see when they come into a house is the color. How does the color make them feel? A fresh coat of paint can add a lot of value to your home. Light and more neutral colors have the widest appeal and really freshen up the home.

One of the things that I tell people is - we don't always live the way we sell and we don't sell the way we live. What I mean by that is - personally, I like certain colors and I have known clients who have homes that look like we have walked into the mediterranean with blues and oranges and pinks and greens. It looks fabulous! BUT! But the thing is we want to be able to appeal to the greatest number of people - the greatest number of buyers. So- a neutral palette is the most appealing for people because that way they can actually see themselves in the home. They can see being able to put up their artwork, their photos, their couches and everything. But if we have a room that's a really vivid color, it just might not work for certain buyers. Some buyers have little imagination and it will make them work harder to really try to imagine themselves in the space. So, it is better to make it work for all- or at least- most buyers.

That’s one of the things that we want to do is have the widest array of buyers come in. We want to be able to appeal to the greatest number of buyers. In the end- isn’t that what you, as a seller, want?
